About Course

The IP Edge: From Ideas to Protection

Overview

The IP Edge is a 4-day online course on Intellectual Property Rights, designed for law students, young professionals, founders and creators. Many people have valuable ideas, brand names, designs or content but don’t know how to recognise, secure or monetise them. The course follows the full life cycle of an IP asset: identify it, register it, defend it, and commercialise it. Each session builds on the last, so participants finish with a working understanding of how IP is handled in practice, not just in theory.

Led by Adv. Shivani Gupta, a Ph.D. scholar, international arbitrator, legal academic and published researcher with 6+ years of experience in IPR law, the course keeps the focus on key concepts, differences between IP types, protection mechanisms and real-world applications.
